About Livot-Plus Softgel

Mechanism of Action
Levocetirizine is the active R-enantiomer of cetirizine — a selective second-generation H1 antihistamine. Higher H1 receptor affinity than cetirizine with lower brain penetration — minimal sedation. Onset 30 minutes, duration 24 hours. Montelukast is a leukotriene receptor (CysLT1) antagonist — blocks effects of leukotrienes D4 produced from mast cells and eosinophils. Reduces bronchoconstriction, mucus hypersecretion and oedema characteristic of allergic asthma and rhinitis.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 1 softgel once daily in evening.

Headache, GI upset, neuropsychiatric symptoms (rare — Montelukast advisory).
