About Panor-CT Capsule

Panor-CT Capsule combines Pantoprazole 40 mg with Cinitapride 3 mg — for GERD with delayed gastric emptying. Cinitapride is a 5-HT4 agonist prokinetic with anti-emetic properties.

Manufactured by Trumac Healthcare under WHO-GMP. Available for monopoly-based PCD pharma franchise and third-party manufacturing.

Indications

  • GERD with delayed gastric emptying
  • Functional dyspepsia
  • Refractory reflux

Mechanism of Action

Pantoprazole irreversibly inhibits gastric H+/K+ ATPase (proton pump) at parietal cell secretory canaliculi — markedly suppressing both basal and stimulated acid secretion. Lower CYP450 interaction profile than Omeprazole. Onset 1 hour, duration 24 hours. Cinitapride is a 5-HT4 agonist with antagonist activity at 5-HT2 receptors — enhancing upper GI motility, accelerating gastric emptying, reducing reflux episodes.

Dosage & Administration

Adults: 1 capsule once daily before breakfast.

Side Effects

Headache, diarrhoea, abdominal pain. Long-term: B12 deficiency, hypomagnesaemia, fracture risk (hip), C. difficile colitis, interstitial nephritis (rare). Cinitapride: somnolence, diarrhoea.

Contraindications & Precautions

Hypersensitivity. Caution in severe hepatic impairment, osteoporosis (long-term), on clopidogrel (less interaction than omeprazole).

Storage

Store below 30 °C in a dry place, protected from light and moisture.
