Mechanism of Action
Aceclofenac is a non-selective COX-1/COX-2 inhibitor NSAID — better GI tolerance than diclofenac. Anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic action. Paracetamol provides additional central analgesic and antipyretic action via central COX-3 inhibition.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 1 tablet twice daily.
Side Effects
GI upset, dyspepsia, peptic ulcer (less than diclofenac), fluid retention, hypertension, transaminase elevation.
Contraindications & Precautions
Active peptic ulcer, severe heart failure, third trimester pregnancy, severe renal/hepatic impairment, aspirin-sensitive asthma.
