About Vona-8 Injection
Vona-8 Injection delivers Ondansetron 8 mg IV — higher dose for highly emetogenic chemotherapy regimens (cisplatin, etc.).

Indications
- Highly emetogenic chemotherapy prophylaxis

Mechanism of Action
Ondansetron is a selective 5-HT3 receptor antagonist — blocks serotonin-mediated emesis. First-line for chemotherapy-induced and post-operative nausea/vomiting.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 8 mg IV slow push, repeat as needed (max 32 mg/day).
Side Effects
Headache (very common), constipation, QT prolongation (dose-dependent), serotonin syndrome (with SSRIs). Higher QT prolongation at this dose.
Contraindications & Precautions
Congenital long QT, hypersensitivity, on apomorphine (severe hypotension).
