About Truace-Spas Tablet
Truace-Spas Tablet combines the NSAID Aceclofenac 100 mg with the selective smooth-muscle antispasmodic Drotaverine HCl 80 mg. The combination addresses both inflammatory pain and visceral spasm.
It is widely prescribed for primary dysmenorrhoea (menstrual cramps), renal colic, biliary colic, IBS-related abdominal pain and intestinal spasm — providing both pain relief and direct smooth-muscle relaxation.

Mechanism of Action
Aceclofenac inhibits cyclooxygenase, reducing prostaglandin synthesis — particularly useful in dysmenorrhoea where prostaglandin-driven uterine contractions cause pain. Drotaverine is a selective phosphodiesterase-4 inhibitor that raises intracellular cAMP in smooth muscle, producing direct non-anticholinergic relaxation of uterine, biliary, ureteric and intestinal smooth muscle without significant atropine-like side effects.
