About Iverband Suspension
Iverband Suspension combines Albendazole 200 mg with Ivermectin 1.5 mg in paediatric format — single-dose deworming with broader coverage than Albendazole monotherapy. Effective against roundworm, threadworm, hookworm plus Strongyloides and lice/scabies adjunct.

Mechanism of Action
Albendazole is a broad-spectrum benzimidazole anthelmintic — irreversibly binds beta-tubulin in helminth cells, inhibiting microtubule polymerisation and glucose uptake. Ivermectin binds glutamate-gated chloride channels in invertebrate nerve/muscle cells causing paralysis. Combination provides broad coverage against intestinal nematodes plus enhanced activity against Strongyloides, microfilaria, and ectoparasites.
Dosage & Administration
Children 1–5 years: half (5 ml) single dose. Above 5 years: 10 ml single dose. Repeat after 6 months as per programme.
Side Effects
Mild GI upset, transient diarrhoea, headache. Generally very well tolerated.
Contraindications & Precautions
Pregnancy (first trimester), children below 1 year, severe hepatic impairment, hypersensitivity.
