About Samther-AL Tablet
Samther-AL Tablet provides Artemether 80 mg + Lumefantrine 480 mg — WHO first-line ACT for uncomplicated falciparum malaria. Standard 3-day regimen with twice-daily dosing.

Mechanism of Action
Artemether is an artemisinin derivative — produces toxic free radicals damaging malaria parasite proteins. Lumefantrine is a long-acting partner that prevents recrudescence by killing residual parasites. Combination provides synergistic action and reduces resistance development.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 4 tablets at 0, 8, 24, 36, 48, 60 hours (6 doses over 3 days). Take with fatty food for absorption.
Side Effects
Headache, dizziness, anorexia, GI upset, sleep disturbance, QT prolongation (mild).
Contraindications & Precautions
Severe malaria (use IV artesunate instead), first trimester pregnancy, QT prolongation, on QT-prolonging drugs.
