About Desomac-M Tablet
Desomac-M Tablet combines the non-sedating antihistamine Desloratadine 5 mg with the leukotriene receptor antagonist Montelukast 10 mg. The dual blockade addresses both histamine- and leukotriene-mediated allergic inflammation in one daily tablet.
It is particularly suited to patients with allergic rhinitis with concurrent mild asthma, perennial allergic airway disease and chronic urticaria with bronchospastic features.

Mechanism of Action
Desloratadine selectively blocks peripheral H1 receptors, controlling histamine-driven sneezing, rhinorrhoea and itching. Montelukast antagonises CysLT1 receptors on bronchial smooth muscle and inflammatory cells, reducing leukotriene-mediated bronchoconstriction, mucus secretion and eosinophil recruitment.
