About Etocam-P Tablet

Mechanism of Action
Etoricoxib is a selective COX-2 inhibitor that blocks prostaglandin synthesis at sites of inflammation while sparing the gastric mucosa-protective COX-1 — reducing GI toxicity compared with non-selective NSAIDs. Paracetamol inhibits central COX, raising pain threshold synergistically.
Dosage & Administration

GI upset (less than non-selective NSAIDs), hypertension, peripheral oedema, headache. Cardiovascular risk with long-term high-dose use. Hepatotoxicity at high paracetamol doses.
