About Ilaprol-DSR Capsule
Ilaprol-DSR Capsule combines Ilaprazole 10 mg (newer PPI) with Domperidone 30 mg SR — for GERD with associated delayed gastric emptying, post-prandial bloating, or refractory reflux. Ilaprazole has longer half-life than Omeprazole/Pantoprazole and is less CYP2C19-dependent.

Mechanism of Action
Ilaprazole irreversibly inhibits gastric H+/K+ ATPase (proton pump) suppressing acid secretion. Less CYP2C19 dependent vs Omeprazole/Esomeprazole. Domperidone is a peripheral D2 receptor antagonist that enhances upper GI motility without crossing blood-brain barrier.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 1 capsule once daily 30 minutes before breakfast.
Side Effects
Headache, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, hyperprolactinaemia (Domperidone), rare QT prolongation.
Contraindications & Precautions
Hypersensitivity, prolactinoma, QT prolongation, severe hepatic impairment, GI obstruction/haemorrhage.
