About Ketorut Eye Drops
Ketorut Eye Drops contains Ketorolac Tromethamine IP 0.5%, a topical NSAID with potent COX inhibition for ophthalmic use.
It is indicated for ocular itch of seasonal allergic conjunctivitis, post-operative ocular inflammation, prevention of cystoid macular oedema (CME) after cataract surgery and as analgesic after corneal refractive procedures.

Mechanism of Action
Ketorolac is a heteroaryl acetic-acid NSAID that potently inhibits cyclooxygenase, reducing prostaglandin synthesis in conjunctiva and anterior segment. This reduces inflammation, ocular itch, hyperaemia and prevents CME by maintaining blood-retinal barrier integrity post-surgery.
