About Heparut Suspension
Heparut Suspension provides LOLA + Silymarin in liquid form — for paediatric patients, elderly with swallowing difficulties, or as adjunct in active hepatic encephalopathy where rapid GI absorption is desirable.

Mechanism of Action
L-Ornithine L-Aspartate (LOLA) provides amino acid substrates that drive ammonia detoxification via two complementary pathways — Ornithine fuels the hepatic urea cycle, and Aspartate supports glutamine synthesis in periportal hepatocytes and skeletal muscle. The result is lower blood ammonia and improvement in hepatic encephalopathy. Silymarin (a flavonolignan complex from Silybum marianum) stabilises hepatocyte cell membranes, scavenges free radicals, inhibits Kupffer cell activation, and promotes regenerative protein synthesis in liver cells.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 10 ml three times daily. Children: 5 ml twice or thrice daily.
Side Effects
Mild GI upset, nausea, vomiting. Rare hypersensitivity.
Contraindications & Precautions
Severe renal impairment (creatinine > 3 mg/dl), hypersensitivity. Caution in pregnancy.
