About Heparut Tablet
Heparut Tablet combines L-Ornithine L-Aspartate (LOLA) 250 mg with Silymarin 70 mg and B-Complex — a comprehensive hepatoprotective for fatty liver disease, alcoholic liver disease, and prevention/management of hepatic encephalopathy.
LOLA is a clinically validated ammonia-lowering agent — recommended in international guidelines for hepatic encephalopathy. Silymarin adds membrane stabilising and antioxidant action.

Mechanism of Action
L-Ornithine L-Aspartate (LOLA) provides amino acid substrates that drive ammonia detoxification via two complementary pathways — Ornithine fuels the hepatic urea cycle, and Aspartate supports glutamine synthesis in periportal hepatocytes and skeletal muscle. The result is lower blood ammonia and improvement in hepatic encephalopathy. Silymarin (a flavonolignan complex from Silybum marianum) stabilises hepatocyte cell membranes, scavenges free radicals, inhibits Kupffer cell activation, and promotes regenerative protein synthesis in liver cells.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 1–2 tablets three times daily after meals.
Side Effects
Mild GI upset, nausea, vomiting. Rare hypersensitivity.
Contraindications & Precautions
Severe renal impairment (creatinine > 3 mg/dl), hypersensitivity. Caution in pregnancy.
