About Lansomac-15 DT
Lansomac-15 DT provides Lansoprazole 15 mg as dispersible tablet — the lower maintenance PPI dose for GERD maintenance, NSAID-induced ulcer prevention and chronic gastritis. Dispersible form suitable for elderly, paediatric, and patients with dysphagia.

Mechanism of Action
Lansoprazole irreversibly inhibits gastric H+/K+ ATPase (proton pump) at the secretory canaliculi of parietal cells — markedly suppressing both basal and stimulated gastric acid secretion. Onset 1–2 hours, duration 24 hours after single dose.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 15 mg once daily 30 minutes before breakfast. Paediatric: weight-based dosing.
Side Effects
Headache, diarrhoea, constipation, abdominal pain. Long-term: B12 deficiency, hypomagnesaemia, fracture risk.
Contraindications & Precautions
Hypersensitivity. Caution in severe hepatic impairment, osteoporosis (long-term).
