About Volomac-OZ Tablet
Volomac-OZ Tablet combines Levofloxacin 250 mg + Ornidazole 500 mg — for mixed infective diarrhoea with bacterial-protozoal pathogens.

Mechanism of Action
Levofloxacin is the active L-isomer of ofloxacin — third-generation fluoroquinolone with enhanced gram-positive activity (Streptococcus pneumoniae). Excellent oral bioavailability (~99%) with once-daily dosing. Ornidazole adds anti-anaerobic/protozoal action.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 1 tablet twice daily x 3–5 days.
Side Effects
GI upset, headache, dizziness, photosensitivity, tendon rupture, QT prolongation, dysglycaemia. Disulfiram-like reaction with alcohol.
Contraindications & Precautions
Children <18, pregnancy, history of FQ tendinopathy, prolonged QT. Avoid alcohol.
