About Linaglite-D 5/10 Tablet
Linaglite-D 5/10 Tablet combines the DPP-4 inhibitor Linagliptin 5 mg with the SGLT2 inhibitor Dapagliflozin 10 mg in a single DCGI-approved fixed-dose combination. The two complementary mechanisms address both glucose-dependent insulin secretion and urinary glucose excretion.
It is indicated for type-2 diabetes inadequately controlled on monotherapy with metformin, or as initial dual therapy in patients with significant hyperglycaemia (HbA1c > 8.5%).

Mechanism of Action
Linagliptin inhibits DPP-4, prolonging incretin (GLP-1, GIP) activity and stimulating glucose-dependent insulin secretion. Dapagliflozin selectively inhibits SGLT2 in the proximal renal tubule, reducing glucose reabsorption and increasing urinary glucose excretion. The mechanisms are complementary and additive.
