About Linaglite-M 2.5/1000 Tablet
Linaglite-M 2.5/1000 Tablet combines Linagliptin 2.5 mg (DPP-4 inhibitor) with Metformin 1000 mg (biguanide). Twice-daily dosing of this combination provides Linagliptin 5 mg total and Metformin 2000 mg total — covering the standard recommended daily doses of both.
It is indicated for adults with type-2 diabetes inadequately controlled on metformin monotherapy or those switching from concurrent administration of separate tablets to a fixed-dose combination.

Mechanism of Action
Linagliptin inhibits DPP-4, prolonging incretin activity to enhance glucose-dependent insulin secretion. Metformin activates AMPK, suppressing hepatic glucose output and improving peripheral insulin sensitivity. The combination addresses both insulin secretion and insulin resistance defects of T2DM.
