About Moxirut-DF Eye Drops
Moxirut-DF Eye Drops combines Moxifloxacin 0.5% w/v with the high-potency difluorinated corticosteroid Difluprednate 0.05% w/v. Difluprednate has 3-fold higher receptor affinity than prednisolone with rapid penetration.
Indicated for post-operative ocular inflammation, severe inflamed keratitis and uveitis with infection risk.

Mechanism of Action
Moxifloxacin is a 4th-generation fluoroquinolone that inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase (topoisomerase II) and topoisomerase IV, halting bacterial DNA replication. Its 8-methoxy substitution gives enhanced Gram-positive, atypical and anaerobic coverage with reduced resistance development. Difluprednate is a high-potency difluorinated corticosteroid with approximately 3-fold higher glucocorticoid receptor affinity than prednisolone and superior corneal penetration.
