About Prazoron-5 Tablet
Prazoron-5 Tablet contains Prazosin 5 mg. Prazosin is a selective alpha-1 adrenergic blocker that produces vasodilation and improves urinary symptoms by relaxing bladder neck and prostatic smooth muscle.
Indicated for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) symptoms, refractory hypertension, Raynaud’s phenomenon and notably PTSD-related nightmares.

Mechanism of Action
Prazosin selectively blocks postsynaptic alpha-1 adrenergic receptors in vascular smooth muscle, prostatic capsule and bladder neck — producing arteriolar vasodilation (BP reduction) and improved urinary flow.
Dosage & Administration
['Start with 0.5–1 mg at bedtime to avoid first-dose hypotension', 'Titrate up to 1–10 mg/day in 2–3 divided doses', 'Take first dose at bedtime']
