About Rizamac-10 Tablet
Rizamac-10 Tablet contains Rizatriptan 10 mg — fast-acting triptan for acute migraine attacks. Faster onset and better tolerability than older triptans (Sumatriptan).

Mechanism of Action
Rizatriptan is a selective 5-HT1B/1D receptor agonist — causes vasoconstriction of dilated cranial vessels and inhibits release of pro-inflammatory neuropeptides at trigeminal nerve terminals. Effective for acute migraine.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 10 mg at onset of migraine. May repeat after 2 hours if needed (max 20 mg/24 hours).
Side Effects
Chest tightness, jaw/throat discomfort, fatigue, dizziness, paraesthesia, drowsiness.
Contraindications & Precautions
Ischaemic heart disease, prior MI, uncontrolled hypertension, prinzmetal angina, peripheral vascular disease, recent ergot use, MAOI use, basilar/hemiplegic migraine.
