About Saxaron-2.5 Tablet
Saxaron-2.5 Tablet contains Saxagliptin 2.5 mg. Saxagliptin is a selective oral DPP-4 inhibitor that prolongs the action of incretin hormones (GLP-1, GIP), improving glucose-dependent insulin secretion.
Indicated for type-2 diabetes mellitus as monotherapy or in combination with metformin, sulphonylureas, thiazolidinediones or insulin.

Mechanism of Action
Saxagliptin selectively inhibits DPP-4, preventing breakdown of GLP-1 and GIP. Elevated incretin levels increase glucose-dependent insulin secretion and suppress glucagon, improving glycaemic control without producing hypoglycaemia in non-eugenic states.
