About Tolomac-AP Tablet

Tolomac-AP Tablet combines the centrally-acting muscle relaxant Tolperisone HCl 150 mg with the NSAID Aceclofenac 100 mg and antipyretic-analgesic Paracetamol 325 mg. The triple-action formula addresses muscle spasm, peripheral inflammation and pain simultaneously.

It is widely prescribed in acute low-back pain (lumbago), cervical spondylosis with muscle spasm, post-traumatic muscle pain and sports-related musculoskeletal injuries.

Trumac Healthcare manufactures Tolomac-AP under WHO-GMP conditions for PCD pharma franchise on monopoly basis across India.

Indications

  • Acute lumbago with muscle spasm
  • Cervical spondylosis with paraspinal spasm
  • Post-traumatic muscle pain and sprains
  • Sports injuries with stiffness
  • Tension-type myofascial pain

Mechanism of Action

Tolperisone is a centrally-acting muscle relaxant that stabilises nerve cell membranes by blocking voltage-gated sodium and calcium channels at the spinal reticular level, reducing reflex muscle hypertonia without sedation. Aceclofenac inhibits cyclooxygenase, reducing prostaglandin-mediated inflammation and pain at peripheral injury sites. Paracetamol acts centrally to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis, contributing to analgesia and antipyresis.
