About Etocam-90 Tablet
Etocam-90 Tablet provides Etoricoxib 90 mg — the standard dose for rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and acute gout. The higher dose vs 60 mg is appropriate for inflammatory rheumatological conditions.
Used for established inflammatory arthritis where Etoricoxib 60 mg is inadequate.

Mechanism of Action
Etoricoxib is a selective COX-2 inhibitor that blocks prostaglandin synthesis at sites of inflammation while sparing the gastric mucosa-protective COX-1 — reducing GI toxicity compared with non-selective NSAIDs.

Adults: 90 mg once daily.
Side Effects
GI upset (less than non-selective NSAIDs), hypertension, peripheral oedema, headache. Cardiovascular risk with long-term high-dose use.

Active peptic ulcer or GI bleeding. Severe heart failure. Uncontrolled hypertension. Severe hepatic/renal impairment. Pregnancy (third trimester). Aspirin-triggered asthma.
