About Lansomac-30 DT

Mechanism of Action
Lansoprazole irreversibly inhibits gastric H+/K+ ATPase (proton pump) at the secretory canaliculi of parietal cells — markedly suppressing both basal and stimulated gastric acid secretion. Onset 1–2 hours, duration 24 hours after single dose.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 30 mg once daily for 4–8 weeks (GERD/PUD healing). Higher doses for ZE syndrome.
Side Effects
Headache, diarrhoea, constipation. Long-term: hypomagnesaemia, B12 deficiency, increased fracture risk, C. difficile.
Contraindications & Precautions
Hypersensitivity. Caution in severe hepatic impairment.
