About Livot Plus Kid Syrup
Livot Plus Kid Syrup combines Levocetirizine 2.5 mg with Montelukast 4 mg — for paediatric allergic rhinitis with asthma component, dust mite allergy and seasonal allergic conditions.
Dual mechanism (H1 antihistamine + leukotriene antagonist) provides better symptom control than single agent for mixed allergic rhinitis and asthma.
Manufactured by Trumac Healthcare under WHO-GMP. Available for monopoly-based PCD pharma franchise and third-party manufacturing.
Indications
- Paediatric allergic rhinitis with asthma
- Exercise-induced bronchospasm
- Allergic conjunctivitis with rhinitis
- Dust mite / pollen allergy
Mechanism of Action
Levocetirizine is the active R-enantiomer of cetirizine — a selective second-generation H1 antihistamine. Higher H1 receptor affinity than cetirizine with lower brain penetration — minimal sedation. Onset 30 minutes, duration 24 hours. Montelukast is a leukotriene receptor (CysLT1) antagonist — blocks effects of leukotrienes D4 produced from mast cells and eosinophils. Reduces bronchoconstriction, mucus hypersecretion and oedema characteristic of allergic asthma and rhinitis.
Dosage & Administration
Children 2–6 years: 5 ml once daily in evening. Children 6–14 years: 5 ml once daily.

Headache, abdominal pain, somnolence. Rare neuropsychiatric symptoms (Montelukast).
Contraindications & Precautions
Hypersensitivity, severe renal impairment, history of mood disorders (Montelukast advisory).
