About Floracam Eye Drops
Floracam Eye Drops contains Flurbiprofen Sodium USP 0.03%, a topical non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent for ophthalmic use. Topical NSAIDs avoid the cataractogenic and IOP-raising effects of topical steroids.
It is indicated for inhibiting intra-operative miosis during cataract surgery, post-operative ocular inflammation, cystoid macular oedema prevention and as adjunct in ocular surface inflammation.

Mechanism of Action
Flurbiprofen is a phenylalkanoic-acid NSAID that inhibits cyclooxygenase, reducing prostaglandin synthesis in ocular tissues. Topical instillation pre-operatively blocks the surgical-trauma-induced miosis (prostaglandin-mediated) and post-operatively reduces inflammation, pain and risk of cystoid macular oedema.
Dosage & Administration
