About Linaglite-M 2.5/500 Tablet
Linaglite-M 2.5/500 Tablet contains Linagliptin 2.5 mg and Metformin 500 mg — the starter-strength fixed-dose combination. Twice-daily dosing delivers Linagliptin 5 mg total and Metformin 1000 mg total.
It is indicated for adults with type-2 diabetes initiating dual oral therapy, or those titrating Metformin gradually from a lower dose. Suited to patients with mild GI intolerance to higher metformin doses.

Mechanism of Action
Linagliptin inhibits DPP-4 to prolong incretin activity. Metformin activates AMPK, suppressing hepatic gluconeogenesis and improving peripheral insulin sensitivity. The lower starter strength minimises GI side effects during treatment initiation.
