About Macral-B Cream
Macral-B Cream combines Ketoconazole 2% (antifungal) with Beclomethasone Dipropionate 0.025% (topical corticosteroid) for inflammatory fungal dermatoses.
Indicated for inflammatory tinea infections, seborrhoeic dermatitis with prominent inflammation and pruritic fungal dermatoses — short-course use only.

Mechanism of Action
Ketoconazole inhibits fungal 14-α-demethylase, blocking conversion of lanosterol to ergosterol. The resulting depletion of ergosterol and accumulation of toxic sterol intermediates disrupts fungal cell membrane integrity, producing fungistatic and fungicidal effect. Particularly active against Malassezia (seborrhoeic dermatitis, tinea versicolor) and dermatophytes. Beclomethasone is a topical corticosteroid that suppresses local inflammation via lipocortin-1 induction and phospholipase A2 inhibition.
