About Moxirut-LP Eye Drops
Moxirut-LP Eye Drops combines Moxifloxacin HCl 0.5% with Loteprednol Etabonate 0.5% — a unique ester-based ‘soft’ corticosteroid that is rapidly inactivated to prevent steroid side effects.
Indicated for post-operative inflammation, allergic conjunctivitis with bacterial risk, and inflamed keratoconjunctivitis where IOP elevation must be minimised.

Mechanism of Action
Moxifloxacin is a 4th-generation fluoroquinolone that inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase (topoisomerase II) and topoisomerase IV, halting bacterial DNA replication. Its 8-methoxy substitution gives enhanced Gram-positive, atypical and anaerobic coverage with reduced resistance development. Loteprednol Etabonate is a retrometabolically designed 'soft' corticosteroid containing an ester linkage that is rapidly cleaved to inactive metabolites in target tissues — providing strong anti-inflammatory effect with significantly reduced IOP-raising and cataractogenic risk.
