About Petacold-LC Tablet
Petacold-LC Tablet is a quad anti-cold combination providing Paracetamol 325 mg, Phenylephrine HCl 10 mg, Levocetirizine 2.5 mg and Caffeine 30 mg. Caffeine provides analgesic potentiation and counters lethargy of viral illness.
Indicated for flu with prominent body ache, allergic rhinitis with congestion and lethargy, sinusitis-related headache.

Mechanism of Action
Paracetamol acts centrally for fever and pain. Phenylephrine HCl 10 mg provides strong nasal decongestion. Levocetirizine is the active R-enantiomer of cetirizine — non-sedating H1 antihistamine. Caffeine is an adenosine receptor antagonist that potentiates analgesic effect of NSAIDs/paracetamol and counters viral lethargy.
