About Ecare-Plus Ear Drops
Ecare-Plus Ear Drops is a quad-action ENT preparation combining Chloramphenicol 5% (broad-spectrum antibiotic), Beclomethasone Dipropionate 0.025% (topical corticosteroid), Clotrimazole 1% (broad-spectrum antifungal) and Glycerin 2% (emollient).
It is indicated in otitis externa with mixed bacterial and fungal aetiology, infected eczematous external ear canal and acute external otitis with marked inflammation and exudate.

Indications
- Otitis externa with mixed infection (bacterial + fungal)
- Eczematous otitis externa with secondary infection
- Furunculosis of the external ear
- Otomycosis (especially with eczematous component)
Mechanism of Action
Chloramphenicol inhibits bacterial 50S ribosomal protein synthesis with broad Gram-positive and Gram-negative spectrum. Beclomethasone is a topical corticosteroid that suppresses local inflammation. Clotrimazole inhibits fungal ergosterol synthesis, killing Candida and Aspergillus. Glycerin acts as an emollient softening exudate and providing local soothing.
Dosage & Administration
['Adults and children > 6 years: Instill 2–3 drops in the affected ear 3 times daily', 'Lie on opposite side for 5 minutes after instillation', 'Continue for 7–10 days', 'Do not use if ear drum is perforated']
