About Gabacam-MNT Tablet
Gabacam-MNT Tablet provides three complementary actions — Gabapentin for calcium-channel modulation, Nortriptyline for monoamine augmentation, and Mecobalamin for nerve regeneration support. Standard fixed-dose combination for moderate-severe diabetic neuropathy.
The 300 mg Gabapentin gives therapeutic dose, 10 mg Nortriptyline provides analgesic without significant antidepressant effect, and Mecobalamin supports myelin repair.

Mechanism of Action
Gabapentin is a structural analogue of GABA that binds the alpha-2-delta subunit of voltage-gated calcium channels in CNS, reducing release of excitatory neurotransmitters (glutamate, noradrenaline, substance P). This dampens hyperexcitability in neurons responsible for neuropathic pain and partial seizures. Nortriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressant that inhibits reuptake of noradrenaline and serotonin in CNS — augmenting descending inhibitory pain pathways. Combined with Gabapentin, it addresses both spontaneous and evoked components of neuropathic pain. Mecobalamin is the active form of B12 — directly incorporated into myelin sheath synthesis supporting peripheral nerve regeneration.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 1 tablet at bedtime. May increase to twice daily as tolerated.
Side Effects
Dizziness, somnolence, peripheral oedema, weight gain, ataxia, blurred vision. Generally well tolerated; sedation dose-dependent. Anticholinergic effects (Nortriptyline less than Amitriptyline).
Contraindications & Precautions
Hypersensitivity. Caution in renal impairment (dose adjust). Avoid abrupt discontinuation. Caution in elderly and history of substance abuse. Recent MI, arrhythmias. Avoid MAOI co-administration.
