About Claritus-L Syrup
Claritus-L Syrup contains Levocloperastine 20 mg per 5 ml — the cough-suppressant-only variant (without CPM), equivalent to Lupituss. Preferred when the cough is purely non-productive without prominent allergic component, or when daytime drowsiness from CPM is undesirable.
Levocloperastine’s dual peripheral and central action provides effective cough suppression without significant respiratory depression, sedation or addiction risk associated with codeine-based suppressants.
Claritus-L is manufactured by Trumac Healthcare under WHO-GMP conditions. Available for monopoly-based PCD pharma franchise and third-party manufacturing.

Mechanism of Action
Levocloperastine combines central (cough centre) and peripheral (mucosal receptor) cough suppression without significant respiratory depression or addiction potential.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 10 ml three times daily. Children > 6 years: 5 ml three times daily.
Side Effects
Mild dizziness, dry mouth, occasional drowsiness. Rare hypersensitivity.
