About Moxoron-0.3 Tablet
Moxoron-0.3 Tablet contains Moxonidine 0.3 mg. Moxonidine is a second-generation centrally acting antihypertensive that selectively binds imidazoline I1 receptors in the rostral ventrolateral medulla, reducing central sympathetic outflow.
Indicated for mild-to-moderate essential hypertension, particularly in patients with concurrent metabolic syndrome, insulin resistance, or those intolerant to ACE inhibitors, ARBs or thiazides.

Mechanism of Action
Moxonidine selectively binds imidazoline I1 receptors in the rostral ventrolateral medulla, reducing central sympathetic outflow. The I1 selectivity gives it fewer side effects than older clonidine-class agents (less sedation, dry mouth, rebound hypertension). It also has favourable effects on insulin sensitivity.
