About Nebiron-2.5 Tablet
Nebiron-2.5 Tablet contains Nebivolol 2.5 mg. Nebivolol is a third-generation beta-blocker uniquely combining the highest beta-1 selectivity of any beta-blocker with intrinsic nitric-oxide-mediated vasodilation — giving it a favourable haemodynamic and metabolic profile.
Indicated for essential hypertension (particularly in patients with metabolic syndrome) and stable mild-to-moderate heart failure in elderly (SENIORS trial).

Mechanism of Action
Nebivolol's d-isomer provides high beta-1 selectivity, while the l-isomer activates endothelial beta-3 receptors, releasing nitric oxide and producing peripheral vasodilation. The combination gives BP reduction with reduced fatigue, less effect on lipid/glucose profile, and less worsening of exercise tolerance compared to older beta-blockers.
